I first learned Tarot from my grandmother as a littlun and on my long and winding road as therapist and writer I have returned to it, just like on the hero’s (heroine’s?) journey.

In truth, I never left Tarot – even in the thick of my five-year psychotherapy MA training or during a creative fug I would pull a card and commune with the imagery. Some might relate it to art therapy but to me it's more than that. Tarot taps into a guiding intelligence that is bigger than us, but also resides within us. I see as the 'wise unknown', the source of all healing, change, and creativity.

I completed the Biddy Tarot certification a few years ago, which amongst other things, taught me the value of empowering folk to shape their own destiny. This chimes with my own belief that when people align with the potential inside themselves, anything is possible.

Tarot is an amazing resource for creativity and well-being. It's been an invaluable part of my own healing and writing journey, which is why I now offer it to others walking a similar path.

My interest in creativity and Tarot comes from my experience of using the cards for my own writing. I’ve had short stories published in Mslexia and was shortlisted twice for the Bath Short Story Award (2020 and 2022). I completed a novel in 2023, which was longlisted for the Grindstone Literary International Novel Prize.
